Another outdoor activity for the 1st Year Architecture students lead by  their Painting Instructor, Mr. Pipat Saksirikasemkul at Wat Rachatiwat  just opposite to the university (SSRU). This temple has interesting  history since it was built during Late Ayuttaya period and renovated in  the reign of Rama 4 and finished in Rama 6. The renovation was inspired  by Khmer culture and was designed by Prince Narisara Nuwattiwong. The  interior painting was painted by an Italian artist which influenced Thai  culture as well at some point. Rachatiwat temple has significant  connection to the river where it was the medium for trade and business  that’s why it’s location is quite far from the main road and near to  Chaopraya River.

Finally, this opportunity will help the students  to enhance their skills in watercolor which is one of the hardest part  of painting.
